Reconciliation Action Plan

Our RAP sets out our ambition to win together, through demonstrable impact aligned to three priority areas:

  • Mutually Beneficial and Trusted Relationships
  • Building Our Cultural Knowledge and Understanding
  • Self-Determination and Economic Advancement

These priority areas have measurable targets and align to the five dimensions of reconciliation and Reconciliation Australia’s core RAP pillars of Relationships, Respect and Opportunities.

In FY26 we made significant progress towards our Stretch RAP, and we are proud of the achievements we have made in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the country.

Case study: Supporting community-led healthcare with Purple House

Coles’ longstanding partnership with Purple House supports access to culturally appropriate healthcare for Aboriginal people in remote communities. Operating from Mparntwe (Alice Springs), Purple House deliver dialysis and wrap around care through an Aboriginal community-controlled model across the Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia.

Over a number of years, Coles has supported Purple House through fundraising initiatives and campaigns. In 2025, Coles partnered with Wiradjuri artist Lani Balzan to deliver a national fundraising campaign, featuring a limited-edition homewares range with artwork reflecting themes of connection, culture and community. Together with matched funding from Coles, the campaign raised $80,000 for Purple House’s community-led dialysis and healthcare services.

This ongoing support reflects the importance of working with Aboriginal community-controlled organisations to improve access to culturally appropriate care in remote communities.

As we move through the final year of our current RAP, we will continue to build on the progress made to date. This includes considering how our future commitments can support lasting impact across our workforce, supply chain, community partnerships and customer experience.
